Weekly Weigh In

Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and I wish you all a Happy New Year.  I’m excited about 2016!

Still maintaining:

Weekly weight update:

Starting Weight – 1/6/15: 218

Current Weight – 12/29/15: 165

Total Loss –  53

Went to see my surgeon yesterday and he was pleased that I had basically maintained through the “food holidays”.  All my numbers were good….vitamins etc… and my A1C is holding steady.  He said if I lose another 10 pounds I’ll be in the “normal” BMI category.  That’s my goal for the next 3 months before I go see him again!  His nurse also told me about the Yeti mug, which I am going to order right away.  It keeps water ice cold all day long. 🙂

I do love not cringing when I see full body pictures of myself anymore….it’s a nice bonus!

Weekly Weigh In

Merry Christmas everyone!  Still maintaining!

Still maintaining:

Current Weight – 12/21/15: 165

Total Loss –  53

At least now I know I can maintain through major food holidays! lol  My goal in the new year is to get into an exercise regimen and keep working on my water!  I’d like to lose another 10-20 pounds and I know I’m not done yet so need to keep on truckin’!

Other than a sip or two of wine a few weeks ago, I had my first alcoholic drink this past Friday.  We went out to Pelican House after our work holiday party.  I had sips of a couple of beers (including the one in the photo below) and a couple of sips of Rob’s Highland Honey (pictured below) as well as an Amaretto Sour.  No problems with any.  Not that I’m a big drinker anyway but it was fun to partake in a little holiday cheer!

Weekly Weigh In/Santa Sweater

Still maintaining:

Current Weight – 12/15/15: 165

Total Loss –  53

At least I know I can maintain once I finish losing….but I know I’m not finished losing.  The holiday parties and treats are quite the temptation and yes, I’ve been partaking…..a little here and there.  So it is good to know that I can maintain in the face of temptation!  However after the holidays are over, it’s time to get back to business and finish to my goal weight.  I’m still not sure exactly what the number will be but I do want to have a normal BMI and get my A1C down to a normal number as well.  These holiday treats aren’t helping in that department! 🙂

A fun story about a Santa Sweater:  years ago my mom and I got a Santa Sweater…I got the red striped one (in 1X) and she got the black striped one (in M).  Last year I wore the red striped one to my ornament party and it fit a little snug.  This year my mom has actually gained 25 pounds (they do make sure she eats!) and can’t fit into her black striped one anymore.  So I thought I’d try it on, thinking it would be way too tight but it fit!  (it’s a tiny bit snug but I don’t mind that so much anymore!)  I wore it to a friend’s party this past weekend.

Photos below – 1) face comparison between this year and last 2) sweater comparison between this year and last 3) Me this year wearing both sweaters:

Weekly Weigh In

Still at a stand still this week but feeling great.  Doing better on water during the work week but the weekends still need a lot of work!

Weekly weight update:

Starting Weight – 1/6/15: 218

Current Weight – 12/8/15: 165

Total Loss –  53

Some of the things I love:

  • I love that I can wear a size 10 in pants and a M or L in shirts
  • I love that I can get down on the floor to water my Christmas tree and get back up with little to no effort
  • I love that I don’t cringe now when I see a photo of my full body
  • I love being able to wear “skinny” jeans with boots
  • I love that my boots aren’t “wide calf” anymore

Weekly Weigh In

Still at a stand still but still feeling great!

Weekly weight update:

Starting Weight – 1/6/15: 218

Current Weight – 12/1/15: 165

Total Loss –  53

I’m still struggling with my water though.  I’ve heard from many people going through this that getting their water in helped the weight start to fall off again.  You would think that would be easy, right?  Somehow it’s the most difficult thing for me!  I’ve gotten better but I’m still not getting 8 glasses in a day and I really should be shooting for about 10.  That’s my priority this week….water, water, water…..sip, sip, sip all day long!!
