Meals out

I seem to be good at finding things to eat when I got out.  Today we had lunch at St. James Place – their Sunday brunch buffet and I managed to find some things.  Had a little ham, chicken, sausage and grits.  I also had a few bites of a yummy biscuit and a bite of dessert as well.  From this plate I ate all the chicken, half the ham and a couple bites of sausage.  The grits weren’t too good, so I didn’t wast time on those 🙂

Got a new shirt to bring to London & Paris..may need smaller capris by that time 🙂

I probably should have lost more by now but, I’m proud of what I’ve done so far.  I’m still struggling with my picky eating habits that I’ve had all of my life but am working to find things that taste good and are also good for me to eat.Slowly But Surely (USA)

I still enjoy eating foods like this from Serop’s….very filling and satisfying!

Favorite Protein Bars

After tasting many protein bars, I’ve found I like Quest brand the best.  Put any of them in the microwave for 8 – 10 seconds and they’re so yummy!  Just tried the cinnamon roll for the first time this morning. and the other photo are all of my favorites so far. They supposedly have a new one that’s mint chocolate but I haven’t seen those anywhere yet.  Will try them when I do.  If I eat one for breakfast, one as an afternoon snack and with lunch and dinner….I’m sure to get my 60 – 80 grams of protein in each day!  Yum!  Now I need to work on my water!

Took a photo of my dinner on Saturday night before and after eating.  Before surgery this would have been ALL gone but not now.  I’ve had dinner the last 2 nights as well!

I realized when I was searching for some photos from a trip to NYC 10 years ago (March, 2005) just how far I’ve come.  I didn’t want to show this photo to anyone but I’m here to share and sharing the “bad” goes along with that.  I usually just delete these photos but in a way I’m glad I kept them.  I don’t even remember looking this big….but this was probably my highest weight…somewhere around 250.  Yes, 250!  Yikes!
