Forgot Weekly Weigh in!

Nothing changed this week on the scale and with the power out (just came back on!) I forgot to post.  I did, however have a wonderful chat with the dietician this afternoon and we found some things that might be stalling the scales.  I’ve been concentrating too much on seeing what I could “stomach” and not enough on total calories and having it almost all come from protein and veggies.  I should be eating 800-1000 total calories.  She said I’m doing great with my walking and recumbent cross trainer so that’s all good.  One of my biggest problems has been NOT drinking when I eat….that’s a hard habit to break!  I have to really concentrate on that!  She helped me identify foods that I can eat that will help with the weight loss so, I’m feeling more energized now!

3 months post-op

It’s hard to believe it’s been 3 months since surgery!  Scale is still stubborn but I’ve lost 35 pounds and I’m very proud of myself. I know I’m losing inches, so that’s awesome too!  Next week I see the dietician again and hopefully she can give me some hints to get the scale moving again.

Current Weight – 4/21/15: 183

Total Loss –  35

My most important thing for the next couple of months is to work on my arms!!

The only thing I “fixed” in these is the current face photo….fixed my tooth. (still waiting on a date with the dentist)

Trying out new walking shoes

Been needing to try some new comfortable every day/walking shoes….trying a new pair today. It’s VERY hard for me to find shoes to fit my feet (regular at the top with narrow heels) and don’t hurt my knees. For MANY years I’ve been wearing MBTs, which are too expensive but since I wore them all the time, it was worth it to me. Now they’re fazing out the ones I like and they’re hard to find. I thought it would be nice to find some with a lighter texture that I could wear all the time.  Believe me, I would love to wear “cute” shoes to work but I move around too much for that.  (although on occasion I do wear something cute) Today I’m trying a new pair….I have to admit, while I knew they fit my heel when I first tried them on…..the color had me sold.  They’re “Laura color”  haha!!

It’ll take a day or two of wearing them to see if they work during the work day, but so far so good.  They’re much lighter than my MBTs and much less expensive, so that’s a plus right off the bat!

Weekly Weigh In

Went down a little this week!  My biggest struggle this week has been getting my water in.  For some reason I’m going through a faze where it just doesn’t taste good.  Been drinking decaf cold brew iced tea and crystal light but I need some variety!

Total Loss –  34.8

I need to take some more body photos….may do that next week.  For this week I found an photo from a few years ago of my friend, Lisa and me and one taken the other night.

Need a new Yankees shirt!

My once snug fitting Yankees shirt is now almost a mini-dress!  Having a few people over for sliders tonight so thought I’d wear it anyway.  I think I can invest in a smaller shirt now! 🙂

Old Halloween costume

I bought this 2 years ago on sale, knowing it was non-refundable and kept it in my closet…the past 2 years it’s been too small to even attempt to get on.  I was just trying on things in my closet to see what fits and what doesn’t and tried it on.  It fits and is even loose in the rear (it was way too tight before!)  Not much use for it this time of year though! 🙂
